Day 1 Arrival at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport, meeting the group and the guide. Excursion to the Pacific Ocean shore - black volcanic sand beach stretches to the horizon, roar of the oceanic surf and exclusive lunch with local seafood - fish and caviar. On the way from the Ocean to the hotel we have a look at Petropavlosk city, one of the city hills reveals nice scenery on Avachinskaya bay, "home" volcanoes and city steets. In the evening we stay in a comfortable hotel with double rooms, dinner, shower and everything needed.

Day 2 Early in the morning we start a long way to the north of the peninsula in order to reach Kluchevskoy nature park, about 500 kilometres to go by car. Our target is to see the highest active volcano on the continent, the most difficult to climb the untouched Kamen volcano, the place of the most powerfull eruption of the 20th century - Bezymianny volcano, furthermore - new and old Tolbachik volcanoes, 1975 eruption place with great volcanic desert and still hot craters.

Today we should drive about 11-13 hours, the road is hard and exhausting. In the evening we arrive in a place called "Kopyto", it is a starting point of our trekking. From now and on we sleep in tents by two.

Day 3 Trekking to camp site "Field of Edelweisses" (8 kilometers to go, 3-4 hours). Very nice views on volcanoes - Kluchevskoy, Kamen and Tolbachik, walking along beutifull tundra.
Day 4 In the morning we cross streamy Studenaya river, have a look at beautifull canyon, go up to the new camp site close to Jupiter slag cone. There are many fine little beasts - susliks (like gopher or squirrel) and marmots, they live inside tunnels made under old solid lava flow. Day trekking - about 16 kilometers.

Day 5 We stay for two nights at the same camp site so today we walk with little baggage, we climp up to Jupiter slag cone (20 minutes to go) to watch beatifull sceneries of Tolbachik and Zimina volcanoes. We also go to unique "Polennica" place - volcanic rockes of bizzare shapes look like woodpile. If the weather is good we can go up the shoulder of Zimina volcano and watch wonderfull views of Kluchevskoy, Kamen and Bezy volcanoes.

Day 6 Today we overcome Tolbachinsky pass, go inside the mountain valley between tree volcanoes - Tolbachik, Udina and Zimina. Many rapid mountain rivers cross the valley, tundra reach with berries and mushrooms, high chances to see bears, foxes, rabites and some more animals in their natural habitat. Day Trekking - about 12 kilometers.

Day 7 Today we reach the volcanic desert border of Tolbachik volcano. Day trekking - about 12 kilometers.
Day 8 Trekking to Tolbachik base camp in the middle of volcanic slag desert (about 14 kilometers).

Day 9 Ascent Plosky Tolbachik volcano, 3081 meters above the sea level (we start from the point 1700 meters above the sea level). It takes about five hours to get to the top and see a great view of the huge crater two kilometers in diameter, wonderfull scenery to the south - volcanic desert and cones.
Day 10 The car takes us to the interesting lava caves up to 50 meters long, we ascend on new volcanoes appeared as a result of 1975 eruption. We found huge solid lava rivers, still hot ground capable to fire a wooden stick.

Day 11 The way back to Petropavlovsk takes the whole day, 500 kilometers to go by bus, stay for a night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 12 4-5 hours driving and we are on Gorely volcano plateau (about 1000 meters height), here we make tents camp and ascend Gorely volcano (1829 meters), 8 kilometers there and back, 4-6 hours.
Day 13 Trekking to the active crater of Mutnovsky volcano, 10 kilometers there and back, 6-7 hours. Inside the crater we can see its steep walls with glacier sliding down to hot boiling fumaroles and small geysers. On the way back we can see wanderfull 80-meters waterfall in Opasny (means "dangerous") canyon. Back to the hotel.
Day 14 Fish market and gifts shop, then the airport. Goodbye, Kamchatka!

The tour cost doesn't include airticket to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and optional helicopter excursion to the Valley of the Geysers.

How to pay

We confirm the booking on receipt of the deposit (300 $). Final payment is due 30 days before departure. Acceptable forms of payment are: direct tranfer to our bank account, Visa/MasterCard.

To take part in summer tours including trekking to nature parks and volcano ascents you'll need the following clothes and equipment:

- trekking boots

- thermal underwear
- waterproof trousers
- gore-tex jacket or another waterproof jacket (preferably with hood)
- raincoat
- polartec jacket
- cap
- sunlight glasses
- warm sockes
- swimming suit

- sleeping bag with "comfort" temperature 0 degrees Celsius or lower

- individual dishes (mug, plate, spoon)
- sunkight protecting cream
- sleeping mat
- flashlight
- trekking poles (not nessesary)
- repellent
- mosquito net
- individual medicines

If you are going to visit Kamchatka in September you need a warmer sleeping bag - "comfort" temerature -5 degrees Celsius or lower, and you also need much warm clothes - at least one more polartec jacket.
