DAY 0 - arrival to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Extra day for those who need our services on arrival and accommodation. The trip itself starts in the next day (Day 1).

Arrival to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport, transfer to the hotel in Paratunka - double rooms, natural thermal water swimming pool, rest after long flight, aclimatization.

Meeting with the group and the guide, a brief excursion to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the coast of the ocean.
Today we start a hard and long road to Kuril Lake by our 6-wheeled Kamaz vehicle. We will have to cross rivers and our schedule will depend on the tides of the sea.

On the first day we plan to cross Opala river and stay for a night in tents on the coast of Okhotskoe sea.
Continue our way to Kuril Lake and in the evening we arrive to Paujetka village where we stay for a night in camping with hot thermal water swimming pool.
13 km trekking from the border of Kronotsky Nature Reserve to its rangers' station 'Ozernaya'.

The station is circled by electricity powered fence as a protection against bears.

We will observe a lot of bears in their natural habitat.

Accommodation in tents inside the protected area.
Excursions on Kuril Lake, watching bears, light trekking.

Trekking back to the border of the Nature Reserve, transfer to the camping in Paujetka.
Trekking to an interesting nature object that is called "Stone Town". After that, we start our way back to Petropavlovsk, stay for a night in tents.
Arriving to Petropavlovsk, finishing the main part of the program to Kuril Lake.

For the participants of the extended program - accommodation in a hotel in Paratunka.
Sea cruise to Russkaya bay.
DAY 10
Transfer to the region of Gorely and Mutnovsky volcano, settling a camp. Depending on the weather and physical conditions of the group we will make a night ascending to Gorely volcano in order to shoot sunrise from its top.
DAY 11
Trekking inside the active crater of Mutnovsky volcano.
DAY 12
Waterfall "Dangerous" and snow caves on the slopes of Mutnovsky volcano. In the evening we return back to a hotel.
DAY 13
Fish market and gifts shop, then the airport. Goodbye, Kamchatka!
The cost of the tour:

1950 $ for 8 days (days 1 - 8);

2950 $ for 14 days (days 0 - 13).

What is included in 8-day itinerary:

  • Kronotsky Nature Reserve fees;
  • Kamaz off-road vehicle;
  • guide and cook service;
  • full board;
  • equipment rental - tents, kitchen.

What is additionally included in 14-day itinerary:

  • transfer from and to the airport;
  • twin accommodation in a hotel in Paratunka; breakfast, dinner and swimming pool in a hotel;
  • 10 hours sea cruise to Russkaya bay;
  • 3-day trip to volcanoes Mutnovsky and Gorely.

What is not included:

  • lunch on Day 0;
  • airline ticket to Kamchatka.

How to book:

Initial booking is made by signing the form "Join the tour" or by e-mail.

After that, we confirm the booking on receipt of the deposit (500 $).

Final payment could be made on arrival in cash or by bank transfer due 3 days before departure. Acceptable forms of payment are: direct transfer to our bank account, cash.
Airline tickets
There are direct flights to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from Moscow and Vladivostok. We advise to buy them in advance. Usually airline companies start selling tickets for the next summer in October. Three months before the date of departure they are always much more expensive.
The weather
The temperature in the mountains might go below zero degrees Celsius sometimes. So, we advise to have warm clothes and a sleeping bag. During the day when the weather is sunny the temperature might be between +10 and +20 degrees Celsius.
The gear
We advise you to bring your camera, a set of lenses and a tripod.
